PCCCF Mission Statement

As citizens of this community, we have partaken of its material and spiritual wealth. Through its benevolence, we have shared with its greatness and now enjoy a way of life that allows us to help alleviate the sufferings of this largely impoverished and troubled world. Therefore, we, Filipino-Americans and our friends of this community, have established the Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation Inc. Through this foundation, which aims to construct a building to house some activities of the community, we hope to bring to the American consciousness the richness of our background, as well as the significance of our contributions to this country. In addition, we also aim to provide services of a civic nature which would, otherwise, be difficult, or too costly , for some people to obtain. And, above all, it is our fervent hope that through this foundation we will help raise generations of citizens who will continue to contribute to the greatness of America and help mold its moral conscience.

The dream is now a reality

Connect to larger copyThe dream of having our own Philippine Center Building in Milwaukee is now a reality. The Philippine Center is located at the Zablocki Park Pavilion, 3717 W Howard Avenue, Greenfield WI.

The 35 year lease agreement with the Milwaukee County Parks for the use of the Zablocki Park Pavilion to house the Philippine Center was officially signed last July 29, 2011.

With so much pride & enthusiasm, the community had come together in a big way to realize the completion of a Philippine Center. Everyone contributed in every ways and means to raise funds, donate their time, energy, muscle power, hard work & good wishes to keep construction going.

The "Year End Appeal" generated some funds to help cover unexpected construction expenses. And to help bring down the cost, the "Bayanihan Na" endeavor was started. Volunteers came to help in demolition, hauling, clean up and painting, as well as provide food & drinks to nourish the workers. Though we are at the final stages of construction, we are not done yet. We continue to request for volunteer work to finish the project. Again, we thank you all for the sacrifices that you have made to realize the completion of the Philippine Center, so that we can continue our goal of being of service to everyone, especially those in need of medical assistance through our Free Clinic. A fund raising Gala Night, chaired by Dr. Violeta Singson, will be held on March 3, 2012 at the Crystal Ballroom of the Hilton Milwaukee City Center to raise funds for the ongoing construction and maintenance of our new Philippine Center and the Free Medical Clinic. Invitations have been sent out to the community, donors and supporters.
